Special Occasions:

If you’re planning a wedding reception or a special party, the Assembly Room is very flexible: We have a licenced bar and catering kitchen and can work with you to provide as much or as little as you require.

We can seat up to 120 in comfort, either banquet-style or at round tables. See our Weddings and Parties page for more details.

Business:

Large business events, training sessions and conferences can be accommodated in the Assembly Room, the stage being perfect for speakers and presentations. We can provide a range of equipment, for a small fee, including screen, projector and flip chart.

Consider adding one of our business catering packages and you’ll have everything covered.

On the day, we can set the room up to your requirements and can accommodate 100 guests seminar-style, or 168 theatre-style. We’ve hosted over a hundred Fairs and Sales and can house 22 6′ stalls. See our Business page for more details.

*BTCT received funding in 2019 for Bakewell Live!, a project to install at large motorised cinema screen, projector, satellite receiver and 7:1 sound system to allow us to offer live streaming from the National Theatre, along with musical events and film. This was generously supported by The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Devonshire Fund.

Whether you’re joining us for a special celebration or a business event, we offer a range of drink and refreshment packages.

We can also provide a bar for your guests to purchase beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and tea and coffee.
